Invitation Letter For Travel to Singapore
I know, it does sound funny. Why would anyone needs to be invited just to travel to Singapore or to a certain country?
For some countries with tightened migration policies, the Immigration Officers (IO) of that country might be asking for an Invitation Letter (IL). Usually, they would want this to be authenticated by the Embassy.
After checking-in your luggage, you will pass through the IO. Aside from doing the routine passport scans and documentation checks, they would sometimes ask you about your purpose in going to such country. If you don't have any relatives in the country, they may ask for a confirmed hotel booking. If you happen to have a relative there, they may ask you for an IL.

Important Singapore Telephone Numbers
Here is a list of important telephone numbers in Singapore. You may just pick one or two numbers for you to use in the time of needs.
Inside my mobile phone, I saved three taxi phone numbers. It's very handy. Even for a thrifty person like my, I do take taxi sometimes.
Of course, "999" is there also. I have only used this once, when I saw somebody got hit by a car. In less than 5 minutes, an ambulance came.

The Chinese New Year is just around the bend. And this is the time of the year where Singaporeans cue up one after another just to get some bah kwa in their table. Prices would range from S$45 to S$60. That is quite expensive for this piece of meat. But it's not just meat, its Bah Kwa!
The best way to beat this price is.... making your own bah kwa in your own home. Here is a simple recipe. Enjoy!
